Launching: At The Well Elul Learning Circles in Partnership with IYUN

It's been well over 2.5 years of a global pandemic, and when we read the news and look out at the world around us, it can be easy to feel that everything is sideways. For this reason, IYUN and At The Well have partnered together to try and inspire meaningful connections and support people’s wellness. In the Hebrew calendar, we are about to start the month of Elul, the month leading up to Rosh Hashana and the High Holidays. This time of the year is a unique moment to cultivate inner strength, check in with ourselves and others, and support our souls’ wholeness. and find moments of comfort, together in collective care.

We are launching Learning Circles because we recognize that it is more essential than ever for folks to gather in groups and feel belonging in our collective community care. We hope these circles provide a space for strength and wisdom and continue to find ways to cultivate well-being.

So, how does this work?

Elul Learning Circles will be cohorts of 5-10 folks, including you, who gather for 3-5 weeks in “book club style” gatherings that probe the big questions of life through the lens of Torah (we define Torah broadly to mean not only the millennia-old Jewish conversation but also what we think, what we live, the stories we tell, today in our own lives.)

Each Circle will be led by a peer facilitator (hopefully you!) and will be given content, training, and other support from At The Well. Funding opportunities are generously available from our partners at IYUN who—like us—believe that everyone deserves the space to be together and have meaningful conversations.

What will I gain?

  1. Engage in deep introspection during the month of Elul

  2. Feel rootedness and ownership in our individual stories and our people’s story.

  3. Deepened relationships and Connection to a Collective

  4. Build Wellness Tools for Resilience and Joy

What will we learn/facilitate?

We have three facilitation options for you! Choose from:

  • Holy Bodies

  • Spiritual Practices for Real Life
