Rabbi Callie Schulman

Callie is called to work for reconciliation and understanding, to be a healer and a balancer, and to do so within the context of Jewish tradition. The call itself is a moving target; at times leading worship and ritual, at others building bridges of understanding between human beings. She aspires to infuse the healing wisdom of Judaism to an imbalanced world; insisting that anyone is capable of change. Callie recognizes the fullness of human experience and emotion in Jewish life and sees herself as a resource and fellow traveller along for the journey, to assist in the search for meaning and growth through life’s many peaks and pits. She gets the pleasure of doing it all in her beloved Pacific Northwest, where she is an Associate Rabbi at Temple De Hirsch Sinai in Seattle, Washington.
